Fair

Francis “Frank” Edgar Fair, 68, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital, following an illness.

Born June 8, 1958, in Butler, he was the son of Irene Mudrick Fair, of Butler, and the late Arthur Fair.

He was a 1976 graduate of Butler High School, and graduated from technical school where he learned to build fireplaces. He retired from masonry.

He was known by many for hosting big get-togethers, including pig roasts, making apple butter and making sauerkraut. He enjoyed fishing, camping and canoe regattas.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Travis (Autumn) Fair, of New Castle, and Nicole (Patrick) Kirkwood, of Boardman, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Addison Earley, Elsie Kirkwood and Oliver Fair.

He was preceded by his father; and his doggie, Baby.

FAIR — Funeral arrangements for Francis “Frank” Edgar Fair, who died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, have been entrusted to RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 387 Main St., Prospect.

Per Frank’s wishes, after cremation there will be a celebration of life get-together.
