CENTER TWP — A motorcycle wiped out along Route 8 Sunday afternoon.

Chief Nathan Wulff of the Unionville Volunteer Fire Company said the driver, whose name was unavailable, apparently tried to avoid hitting a vehicle stopped in traffic.

“He just put it down and hit pretty hard,” Wulff said.

Wulff said the motorcycle hit the vehicle before stopping.

He said the man was alert when taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital. Wulff characterized the injuries as minor to moderate.
