Try spinning and weaving by hand for free — no experience needed — Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the Butler Area Public Library, 218 N. McKean St., Butler.

Drop by between 5 and 6:30 p.m. and try your hand at carding wool, spinning and weaving, or come admire the fine craftsmanship on display. 

The Butler Spinners and Weavers’ Guild loves to take fibers, such as sheep wool, and turn it into beautiful and useful items, said a news release from the library.

The library will have spinning wheels and looms ready to use.
