A suspected drugged driver's toxicology report read like a pharmacy of banned and controlled substances.

Cocaine, methadone, opiates, amphetamines, barbiturates, prescription sedative and cannabinoids were some of the drugs in Kenneth M. Lipscomb's system, according to court documents.

Butler police on Wednesday charged Lipscomb, 45, of Clearfield Township in connection with the wreck last month on Pillow Street.

The defendant suffered an apparent overdose about 11:50 a.m. May 10 when police were called for the one-vehicle crash. His Jeep struck a retaining wall across from Third Avenue.

Officers found him in the driver's seat, documents said. His head was tilted back and he was “starting to turn blue.” He also was holding a loaded syringe in one of his hands.

The doors were locked and Butler firefighters had to break the rear passenger window to get to Lipscomb.

Emergency crews administered two doses of the opioid overdose-reversal drug Narcan to revive him, documents said. Police found another capped syringe and a spoon in the vehicle.

Above the radio, officers seized eight stamp bags and one empty bag of suspected heroin.

The defendant was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Police on Tuesday obtained Lipscomb's toxicology results.

He is charged with driving under the influence of drugs, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
