Bill Gates to visit CMU on Microsoft farewell tour
PITTSBURGH — Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates is planning to visit Carnegie Mellon University on Thursday in the final stop of a farewell tour before retiring from the company.
The university says Gates will meet with faculty members before delivering a speech entitled "Bill Gates Unplugged: On Software, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Giving Back."
The event is open only to members of the Carnegie Mellon community with university identification cards.
Gates is also stopping at other universities as part of the tour.
