Rock slide work to start on Rt. 28
PITTSBURGH — The state will begin an $8.5 million Route 28 rock slide project in March. It will include blasting, filling voids to prevent erosion, widening the catch basin and building a protective fence.
PennDOT said the work is meant to provide a long-term solution to the rock problems.
