9th grader held in school scare
MCKEESPORT — A ninth grader at McKeesport High School is being held on charges that he made bomb threats that canceled classes one day and forced an evacuation on another.
The 14-year-old is being held at the Shuman Juvenile Detention Facility in Pittsburgh. He is charged with threatening to use a weapon of mass destruction, terroristic threats and reckless endangerment.
A threat prompted officials to send students home early Monday morning. On Tuesday, the school was briefly evacuated after a staff member received a threatening call.
