MONACA — One man is dead and another injured after a train hit a pickup truck in Beaver County.

The county's emergency management agency says the accident happened Thursday evening at a railroad crossing in Monaca. The injured man was flown by helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital.

CSX spokesman Garrick Francis says the 60-car freight train was en route from New Castle to Detroit. He says one of the tracks has reopened, while a second track remains closed during the investigation.
