Rt. 28 ramp closes for construction
CHESWICK — An off-ramp on northbound Route 28 northeast of Pittsburgh is scheduled to close for construction for several weeks.
PennDOT says the Springdale-Cheswick exit is expected to close today until late May. Detour signs will be posted.
The ramp is being closed so crews can rebuild the ramp and the highway at the entrance to the ramp.
Officials say the ramp is expected to be finished this summer.
The highway connects Pittsburgh with its northern suburbs.
