PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police have seized $170,000 worth of heroin after a tipster led them to a traffic stop.
Police have charged 29-year-old Tiona Jones with possession with intent to deliver heroine and other charges after the Tuesday afternoon traffic stop. Police say they were watching Jones' residence after a tip that drug sales were happening there.
When Jones left the residence, police followed her and pulled her over after they say she ran a stop sign.
Police say they saw eight bricks of heroin in her open purse on the front seat and found nearly 280 more bricks when they searched her home. Each brick contains 50 individual doses.
