Gaming board executive director is stepping down
HARRISBURG — The executive director of the board that regulates slot-machine gambling in Pennsylvania said Thursday she is stepping down for unspecified personal and family reasons.
Anne LaCour Neeb, 52, made the announcement at a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board meeting in Harrisburg. Her resignation takes effect June 6.
"I need to direct my attention to family matters that need to be taken care of," she told the board.
Neeb said she planned to return to her home state of Louisiana, but declined to elaborate on her reasons for leaving during an interview with reporters after the meeting.
"I'm getting ready to catch a plane to go back to Louisiana to take care of some family business, and then I'm going to evaluate my options. I haven't made any decisions," she said when asked about her future plans.
