County renames range after soldier
PLUM — A soldier who was killed in Iraq four years ago is being honored by Allegheny County.
The archery range in Boyce Park has been renamed in honor of Army 1st Lt. Neil Anthony Santoriello of Verona.
Diane Santoriello says her son honed his leadership skills with the Boy Scouts and conquered his shyness at the range in Plum borough.
The dedication ceremony was held Thursday.
Santoriello, 24, was killed in 2004 when a bomb exploded near his patrol vehicle.
