PITTSBURGH
PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police are looking for two men who misquoted poet T.S. Eliot — in graffiti they spray-painted on a public library.
The men painted a line similar to one from Eliot's poem "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock." The men painted the words "I wish I were a pair of ragged claws scuttling across the floors of silent seas." The poem has a line that begins "I should have been a pair of rugged claws ..."
Police say video shows the men painting the Carnegie Library early Sunday. The library is near the University of Pittsburgh.
Library officials don't know how much it will cost to power wash the graffiti from the building.
