Instructor arrested in sex sting also listed as New Castle pastor
The Butler County Community College instructor arrested last week in an underage sex sting operation also held the role of pastor at a New Castle church.
Jarod Mills, 33, of New Castle, is listed as pastor of Clifton Flats Alliance Church in New Castle, in addition to his role as a part-time instructor at BC3.
Mills was arrested Oct. 22 as part of Operation Autumn Hope, an Ohio state-wide anti human-trafficking operation organized by state attorney general Dave Yost. He is charged with attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, soliciting an adolescent, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles and possessing criminal tools, all fifth-degree felonies.
BC3 stated they placed Mills on a leave of absence and reassigned his class to another instructor.
Clifton Flats did not return a phone call seeking comment, and an email to the listed address was returned as having been sent to an invalid recipient.
