MARYSVILLE — A 34-year-old central Pennsylvania man is dead after being crushed by a mobile home that fell on top of him.

Authorities say Matthew Teats was working with another man to reposition the mobile home on concrete blocks when the blocks shifted and the mobile home fell on Teats' chest and shoulder.

The accident happened Tuesday afternoon just west of Marysville in rural Perry County.

Rescuers say Teats was still alive when they first arrived at the scene.

Shermansdale Fire Chief Mike Minich says crews secured the mobile home and were preparing to lift it when Teats died.

Teats, a volunteer firefighter, was preparing to live in the mobile home with his girlfriend, behind his mother's home.
