NATRONA HEIGHTS — Two school districts have OK'd new long-term contracts with their teachers.

Nearly 230 teachers in the Highlands School District will see their average pay rise from about $57,000 to more than $68,000 during a new five-year deal that begins after the current contract expires in 2010.

About 290 teachers in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District will see their pay increase about 4 percent a year under a deal that begins July 1 and runs through June 30, 2015. Those teachers now average $56,500 a year.
