PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh officials are trying to evict the mother of a man accused of killing three city police officers from the bullet-riddled home she shared with the suspect.

Code officials say Margaret Poplawski's home still has broken windows and bullet holes in walls from the April 4 shootout between her son, Richard Poplawski, 22, and police. Officials say the home is unsanitary and unfit for human occupancy.

PITTSBURGH — A judge said Pittsburgh has 10 days to respond to a National Rifle Association lawsuit challenging the legality of a city law requiring gun owners to report their lost or stolen guns.The NRA says the law "severely restricts and/or infringes" on citizens' constitutional right to keep firearms in their homes.
