HARRISBURG — Students heading back to college this fall should remember to keep a close eye on their laptops, iPods and other high-tech valuables.

Pennsylvania State Police statistics show reports of theft at some colleges increased last year from previous years. The report also said many of the crimes go unsolved.

It's not just a problem at big-city schools, either.

Shippensburg University campus police Lt. Tom Rumberger said a lot of students come to the rural Cumberland County campus and don't think they're vulnerable to crime.

KITTANNING — An autopsy is set on the body of a man found dead in a busy, county-owned swimming pool.Armstrong County officials believe Andrew Lytle, 25, of Rayburn, drowned Sunday afternoon in the Belmont Complex swimming pool in East Franklin Township.An autopsy was planned today, but authorities said they don't know what might have contributed to the man's death.Witnesses saw him playing with his girlfriend's 11-year-old son minutes before other swimmers found him unresponsive at the bottom of the pool about 3:15 p.m.
