HARRISBURG — A former speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives said he has not decided whether to serve out the year remaining in his current term or seek re-election while he fights corruption charges filed against him last week.

Republican Rep. John Perzel of Philadelphia cast several votes on the House floor Monday, four days after state prosecutors announced they were charging him with 82 criminal offenses.

Perzel said he is keeping his options open and "everything's on the table" when it comes to his political future.

Perzel is accused of helping organize an illegal scheme to use state employees and resources for campaign purposes, including millions of dollars worth of computer equipment and software.

He is one of 10 people associated with the House GOP caucus who were arrested last week.
