NEW CASTLE — State police and other authorities are investigating 13 church burglaries in Lawrence County since Sept. 8.

State police say the most recent burglary happened overnight Friday into Saturday at the Washington Union Alliance Church in Union Township.

All the burglaries have happened in the New Castle area.

Computers and stereo equipment were stolen in the latest incident.

Police say similar electronic devices have been stolen in most of the burglaries.

Nobody has been charged or arrested in any of the break-ins.
