PITTSBURGH — The Monongahela Incline in Pittsburgh is expected to be closed for several days while workers replace worn-out cables.

The incline views of downtown Pittsburgh and also serves as a means for residents of Mount Washington to get downtown.

A spokeswoman for the Port Authority of Allegheny County says an inspection Thursday found wear and tear on both of the incline's steel cables.

Spokeswoman Judi McNeil said the replacement is expected to take several days.
