PITTSBURGH — A suburban Pittsburgh couple is charged with running a meth lab in the home they shared with their 6-week-old son.

Police said 38-year-old James Hess and 21-year-old Ashley See were charged Tuesday with manufacturing meth, conspiracy and other charges. Authorities found the baby on a bed in the living room and the meth lab in the basement of their McKeesport home.

State police were called in to dismantle the lab.

Hess and See were being held at the Allegheny County jail. It wasn't immediately clear if they had attorneys. Police said Hess also has an outstanding warrant from Tennessee.

The baby was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
