SWARTHMORE — A suburban Philadelphia school bus driver is facing drunken driving charges after police say she had a blood-alcohol level more than four times the legal limit while transporting a student.

Police say 48-year-old Christine Rogers had an empty vodka bottle and more liquor on the bus. A teenage student also was on board.

INDIANA — The president of Indiana (Pa.) University is resigning June 30 to take a leadership role with the American Association of State Colleges and Universities.Tony Atwater has been president of IUP since February 2005. The university is one of 14 state-owned schools.The university completed a $270 million student housing replacement project under Atwater's watch.

PITTSBURGH — Three law enforcement officers were injured and two will need surgery following the second police chase of the same suspect in as many days.Officials say the 21-year-old Pittsburgh man led police on a 15-mile chase Wednesday that began in the city and ended in several crashes with police behind a Murrysville store. Authorities say one Pittsburgh police officer was left with leg fractures and another has a broken hip. A sheriff's deputy also was injured.
