APOLLO — State police say the aunt of a 2-year-old boy found wandering on a street could face charges.

State police in Kittanning did not release the woman's name or that of the boy seen by a motorist about 6:30 a.m. Monday.

Police determined the boy's identity and spoke with his aunt and mother, who had allowed the boy to spend the night with his aunt and her boyfriend. Police say the boy apparently woke up before his aunt and somehow was able to open the front door. The boy is with Armstrong County child caseworkers.
