McKEES ROCKS — A fire killed an elderly woman whose neighbors tried to rescue her. Authorities say 85-year-old Rose Presutti was killed in the fire Sunday evening in McKees Rocks.

Neighbors tried to get in and save her but were repelled by heavy smoke.

Investigators tell a Pittsburgh TV station that the woman used an oxygen tank, but it's unclear if that contributed to the blaze.

A state police fire marshal is investigating.
