Library helps 'Stick a Fork in Hunger'
Butler Area Public Library, in conjunction with Butler SUCCEED’s “Stick a Fork in Hunger!” IZE on Food Security project, is holding a food drive Friday through Oct. 22.
The library, 218 N. McKean St., is collecting non-perishable, non-expired food donations.
Oct. 17 to 23 is IZE week, a week to “realIZE, empathIZE and mobilIZE” around food security and food justice in Butler County.

Butler Ghost Walk to celebrate 10th year
The Butler Ghost Walk is in its 10th year, and annually takes spectators of all ages on a guided walking tour of Diamond Park and the adjacent Historic Main Street business district, where storyteller and tour guide Bill May will weave stories about the city’s past.
The walk will begin at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22, 23, 29 and 30 in Butler’s Diamond Park, located directly across from the Butler County Courthouse.
Reservations are required and can be made by visiting ButlerGhostWalk.com or Facebook/Bill May. The cost is $15 per person.
