PITTSBURGH — Police say a drunk driver was responsible for a crash that killed a 7-year-old girl in Pittsburgh.

Travis Isiminger, 23, was arraigned Sunday night on charges including vehicular homicide and driving under the influence. Pittsburgh police say he crashed head-on into a car carrying a woman and two children on Saturday, killing 7-year-old Lexa Cleland. The girl’s mother and 11-month-old sister were also injured.

Police said Isiminger fled the scene on foot and a security guard followed him. He was arrested behind a building containing officers for the Department of Homeland Security.

Investigators said the Holbrook man had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit for drivers.
