Andy Hay and Jeff Lyons scored goals to lead Knoch's junior varsity hockey team to a 2-1 victory over John Marshall recently.

Hay and Scott Olmstead added assists in the win.

Jereme Hensel had a goal and Zach Carben an assist, but Butler's junior varsity dropped a 4-1 decision to Erie McDowell Thursday.

The Armstrong Arrows Mite A major hockey team won the Nutcracker Tournament Mite AA championship with a 3-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Island Sports Center.

The Arrows defeated the Mt. Lebanon Hornets 3-2, the Pittsburgh Predators 6-0 and tied the Blue Jackets 4-4 on their way to the title.

Dustin Davis scored 10 goals in the tournament for the Arrows with Troy Double adding five goals and an assist. Hyte Eurich had a goal and an assist and Christian Miller had three assists. Clay Bachman was the goaltender.
