HAMBURG — A Pennsylvania state senator insists he did nothing wrong before receiving a citation for allegedly displaying a gun while driving on Interstate 78 in Berks County last month.

Sen. Bob Mensch, R-Montgomery, was cited with summary disorderly conduct on March 9 in connection with an incident first reported by The Morning Call of Allentown.

State police said troopers pulled over Mensch after a motorist reported spotting him with a black handgun in his right hand.

Mensch, 65, of Pennsburg, described it as a road-rage incident on the part of the other motorist, who was not identified in the state police news release. He said the other man was the aggressor.
