SWISSVALE — Police say a Western Pennsylvania man used his two young children as human shields during a shooting outside a convenience store.

Swissvale police arrested 26-year-old Curtis Reynolds on Monday after they say he held his 2- and 3-year-old children in his arms while opening fire. No injuries were reported.

Investigators say he was captured in a pursuit after he shoved the children toward officers and took off.
