PITTSBURGH — The families of two children allegedly molested by a Western Pennsylvania day care worker are suing the center where the man worked. Attorney Monte Rabner said that one mother who is suing Tender Care Learning Center says she called the day care to warn them after her son reported he’d been inappropriately touched by Matthew Keith Byars in 2008.

Investigators say Byars molested at least five boys during his time at Tender Care.

Charges were filed against Byars earlier this month after a 9-year-old boy came forward. The 2008 allegation did not lead to charges after the child would not repeat his claims to investigators.

Boy struck by limb while on ATV diesLACEYVILLE — Police say a northeastern Pennsylvania boy is dead after being struck by a tree limb while riding in an ATV.Trooper Bryan Fedor says the 12-year-old boy was being driven by a 16-year-old boy at the time of the crash Monday.Fedor says the boy was struck in the neck by a limb while riding on private property in Wyoming County.
