Gas attack
Several hundred activists and homeowners protest Wednesday against hydraulic gas drilling, or “fracking,” outside the Philadelphia Convention Center where an industry conference was under way. The protesters contend fracking and shale gas drilling in general have led to polluted air and water. The head of one of the country’s top natural gas producers delivered a scathing rebuke of industry critics.
