Is fascism bad? It was so long since I heard the word, I had to look it up. fascism is any movement, ideology, or attitude that favors dictatorial government, definitively, a dictatorship.

Encarta went on to say "Imposing will on others, fond of telling others what to do or of using power or authority to make them do it."

Consider this ; you can't smoke anywhere because cigarettes are proven to kill the smoker and everyone around them, even outdoors, yet our government condones the production and sale of tobacco.

Of course the new federal tax on tobacco just tripled, answering the question "Why are these death sticks still legal at all?"

Subsequently, almost 30% of our states condone medical marijuana, yet the government remains obstinate in their stance against it and they refuse to cooperate with the states decisions.

Imagine, you can be following your states laws by using medical marijuana, but the feds can over-ride that states decision at anytime and throw you in jail, and they are.

Now the question has come up asking if we should drug screen welfare recipients, and nobody wants us to have guns, despite our second amendment right to do so.

You can drink, then drive, but you can't drink and drive or they throw you in jail.

China has 5 times our population, yet the U.S. has more people in prisons. Consider that on the back of hearing that the American government is

"concerned" about Chinas "human rights violations."

I asked if fascism was bad, well, I think it is, and make no mistake, we are becoming more a fascist state and less a democracy every day. We are following in the footsteps of the axis countries of WWll.

We cannot continue following blindly. How can a government be "of the people" if it refuses to respect the people and our wishes?
