A friend sent me an interesting email about a letter that was published in a newspaper in St. Petersburg FL. Here's the gist of the article concerning what could be done to stimulate the economy.

The article said there are roughly 40 million workers in the USA over the age of 50. Give them each one million dollars with the following stipulations:

1. They must quit their jobs - 40 million job openings - no more unemployment problem.

2. They must order a new American made car - no auto industry problems.

3. They must buy a house or pay off the house or houses that they own.

40 millon dollars is a lot less than the billions already given in an effort to stimulate the economy. I like how this guy thinks, even though I am already retired and wouldn't qualify for the money. How many of you would jump at a chance like this?
