Funny how topics come and go around here. A few months back, there were numerous emails bashing the SB teachers for being selfish and gready. Almost everyone on this forum bashed the teachers of this district. Quoting "facts" from the School board website and dismissing information on the Southbutler Teachers association site. The writeres of this paper quoted everything that Tom King said as "fact" without researching. Now, after the School board rejected a comprimise plan that was offered by a second neutral party, the board is claiming that they do not have them money for the plan. Has anyone looked at the FACTS that the distict has on their website! They have over estimated expenses over the past 5 years! Has this paper, or any of the "concerned parents" asked the school district how much Tom King and Tom Breth have billed the School District for labor issues relating to the SBCEA issue! The number might surprise you. This information IS PUBLIC INFORMATION, the district is REQUIRED BY LAW to provide it if asked. Maybe some of the "concerned parents" should call their school distict and request this information! Maybe then, they will realize where the School Board's priorities are. Ask them how much they will need to raise taxes to pay This bill!

This paper published very critical stories about both Slippery Rock and Butler School districts recient Early bird negotiation agreements. There was one thing the articles did not report. Both districts contract with Tom King and his firm as solicitor, and BOTH districts DID NOT INVOLVE MR. KING OR HIS ASSOCIATES in the early bird negotiations, and they BOTH agreed to extensions very early on....interesting "FACT" ISN'T IT!
