HARRISBURG — Jurors hearing the corruption case against a former Pennsylvania lawmaker will hear from prosecutors one last time before beginning deliberations.

Chief Deputy Attorney General Frank Fina is set to finish his closing arguments today in the corruption trial of former state Rep. Brett Feese and an aide.

Feese’s attorney sought Monday to distance his client from former House Speaker John Perzel, who already pleaded guilty to related charges.

Feese was allegedly part of the scheme to spend millions in public dollars on high-tech campaign tools. The former Lycoming County lawmaker chaired the House Republican Campaign Committee from 2002 to 2006.

More than two dozen Democratic and Republican lawmakers and staffers were charged as part of a corruption probe by the state Attorney General’s office.
