HARRISBURG — A second Republican is poised to join Pennsylvania’s race for attorney general.

David Freed, Cumberland County’s district attorney, has scheduled a news conference today in Carlisle. Freed’s campaign media adviser, John Brabender, says it’s “highly likely” Freed will declare his candidacy.

State Sen. John Rafferty of Montgomery County said Wednesday he’s seeking the Republican nomination, while three candidates are vying for Democratic nod.
