I am so fed up with hearing how certain members of the town council, among others, want to do away with Evans City's Police Dept., yet these are the same bunch who would cry "foul" if there were no local police to answer their call in their time of need. We recently needed the services of the police and were very glad they were here to help us. I especially want to commend Officer Longdon, who did everything in his power to come to our aid. He performed a thorough investigation and kept in touch with us every step of the way until the matter was resolved. So we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Officer Longdon and the rest of the E.C.P.D. for all that they do for the rest of us, for far too little pay.
