Moniteau Junior/Senior High School
The seniors at Moniteau Junior/Senior High School elected to have a drive-through ceremony to take place June 4 at the high school and cafeteria.
The student speakers were Amber Flynn, valedictorian, and Kayleigh Sarnese, salutatorian.
Amber is the daughter of Mike and Michelle Flynn, of Boyers.
During high school, she was the president of the marching band, the National Honor Society, and the writing center. She was the head defense lawyer for the mock trial team and participated in student council and was a math tutor.
Amber plans to attend Kent State University for criminology and justice studies. She will be a member of the Honors College and the Honors Leadership Academy at Kent State. After Kent, she plans to attend law school.
Kayleigh is the daughter of Karianne and Steven Sarnese, of Hilliards.
Kayleigh participated in the marching band for six years, and was the drum major this year. She was also co-president of the Moniteau Chapter of the National Honor Society, president of the Math Tutoring Club, vice president of the Writing Center and treasurer of her class all four years. Kayleigh also participated in eight musicals through the school.
She plans to attend Slippery Rock University and major in biology with a premedicine concentration.
