MILL RUN — State police in southwestern Pennsylvania are investigating some vandalism at an outbuilding related to the landmark Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home known as Fallingwater.

Eric Sloss, a spokesman for the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy which oversees the home, says the break-in occurred Saturday evening in an ancillary building about three-fourths of a mile from Fallingwater. The building provides lodging for instructors who participate in educational programs at Fallingwater.

Sloss says someone got in through a window while nobody else was in the building and damaged some mattresses.

Wright built the home over a waterfall 1935 for Pittsburgh department store magnate Edgar Kaufmann Sr. The home is about 45 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

Troopers from the Uniontown barracks are investigating.
