Education: Moniteau High School; Pittsburgh Technical Institute graduate

Occupation: Asset coordinator at Hunter Leasing LLC/Land Development & Design

Name: W. David Hazlet

Residence: Concord Township

Education: Some college

Occupation: Self-employed contractor

Family: Wife, Wendy

QUESTION: Why are you running for office?

NASSY: My decision to run for township supervisor comes from my experience and education in land development and the differences in the large municipalities compared to the small rural communities. Being in compliance with present day technology and codes but continuing to be rural, maintaining our small town life style.

HAZLET: I have been serving Concord Township for 18 years and hope to continue and am committed to moving Concord Township forward.

QUESTION: What do you consider the pressing matters facing your municipality?

NASSY: With the presence of the Marcellus Shale industry and land development in our municipality, we need to ensure the community benefits and thrives on the revenue of the industry. Make the development of the industry responsible for keeping our community a country setting and not disrupting the lives of the citizens in our community. Build the infrastructure needed to support the industry using the revenues of the industries instead of the revenues of the community.

HAZLET: State and federal mandates without funding that the township is forced to support and the growing Marcellus gas extraction and all the issues that come with it.
