Boy, you people just don't seem to get it. Keep saying that the teachers should get jobs elsewhere, but you sound backwards and uneducated. This seems to be very typical of the attitude unique to Butler county. And just so you know, I am not a teacher, nor am I related to a teacher. I just appreciate what education has done for me. I am successful and happy and teachers and professors helped me achieve that. Sure, I have to contribute to my benefits and no, I will not receive a bonus this year. However, my salary is higher than the average SB teacher and in some years I have been eligible for some really nice bonuses. I know the economy is weak right now, but it hasn't hit here as hard as in other places. Even though those bonuses aren't available now, I know they will be again someday. The teachers will never receive something like that no matter what a great job they do and they continue in their best efforts despite that. It is not unreasonable for them to want a competitive wage.
