First of all, Cass, you should have written "We technical people...". Secondly, someone stated that teachers do not compete for their jobs. The reason for 150 applicants is because the area is saturated with teachers, not because SB has such wonderful wages. This was many years ago before we were the lowest paid, by the way. Now we may still get many applicants because there are so few teaching jobs for the amount of teachers certified each year, however, many of those new teachers will stay with the district for 1-3 years and then leave for greener pastures.

And finally, maybe you should band together and demand raises. No one said you shouldn't. Instead of trying to tear others down, why not try to improve your own situation?
