KITTANNING — A coroner and the district attorney were at the scene this morning of a deadly crash involving a car and two coal trucks.

State troopers from the Kittanning barracks said Route 422 in Kittanning Township would be closed for much of the day while they investigate and clear wreckage. Authorities said a person in the car was killed when it crashed with one of the coal trucks about 5:15 a.m. Tuesday. The second truck crashed when its driver tried to avoid the accident.

Police did not say how the crash occurred or release the names of the drivers or the victim.

Armstrong County Coroner Robert Bower and District Attorney Scott Andreassi were at the scene.

TIONESTA — A former Little League volunteer charged with molesting two boys was found dead.The Indiana Gazette said that 36-year-old Theodore Amick of Indiana, Pa., was found dead Saturday of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in a remote area.Allegheny County authorities charged Amick on Saturday with indecent assault and two counts of unlawful contact with a minor for offenses against two boys that allegedly took place in November, 2010. Police had been searching for Amick.
