Concordia Lutheran Ministries will host its Oktoberfest celebrations from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Cabot campus, 112 Marwood Road, in Jefferson Township.

The event is open to the community free of cost and will feature live music by The Mikey Dee Polka Band and fireworks by Pyrotecnico at 7:45 p.m. German-themed food, apple cider and Oktoberfest-themed beer will be available for purchase. Root beer on tap is a new addition to the annual event this year. Children age 12 and younger will receive free food vouchers and many free activities will be available for children. Tours of the Concordia Haven Retirement Apartments, a flu shot and blood pressure clinic, a bake sale and other activities will also be offered at the event. Free parking and shuttle service is available for guests
