Grove City's Pa tapped for Mercer Co. Hall of Fame
Beverly Pas, associated with the Grove City Woman's Bowling Association for 18 years, is being inducted into the Mercer County Bowling Hall of Fame.
The Grove City resident will join the Hall at the organization's annual induction banquet March 4 at The Radisson hotel in Sharon. Dinner is at 5 p.m.
Pas did not get started in bowling until age 30, but has rolled one perfect game along with several 600 series and three 700 series.
Her high series is 765 and her highest sanctioned average is 194, which she accomplished at the Grove City Bowl-O-Drome.
Pas has served as an Association director and is a director of the Crossroads 600 Board. She also belongs to the National 600 Club, the PA State 600 Club and the Les Dames 700 Club.
Competing in the Maggie and Jiggs League, Pas has held the offices of president and secretary there.
She bowled the first 300-game in the GCWBA Feb, 18, 2003, at the Grove City Bowl-O-Drome.
Pas saw her brother bowl a 300-game and her younger sister bowl her first 700 series. She is a sister of fellow Mercer County Bowling Hall of Fame member Robert J. Webster, who was inducted in 1999.
