Having known Pastor Rick Knapp since 1984, I can say with certainty that in no way had he ever alluded that one "..could commit mass murder and still go to Heaven." This was made up in the sick mind of the nut case who had an agenda. Too bad he never heard pastor Knapp's many mentions of not worrying about getting a woman, or getting a man, but focus on God and that part of your life will be most fully rewarded with the absolute perfect mate. Too bad he missed that part, because had he heard it and made it an intrinsic belief, then he would not have been so absorbed with trying to find a woman.

He heard what he wanted to hear, not what was taught. He was trying to find someone to blame to justify his sick intentions.

A pastor can't control the nuts who attend the Church; there are no scanners that warn of a potential murderer to my knowledge. Please don't blame pastor Knapp's accurate teaching because of this freak of nature, because it would be indicting God's veracity as well! Also, for every one of these idiots who make the message fit their agenda, there are thousands upon thousands who don't!

In truth he was totally full of self-pity, self-absorption which usually leads to being schizophrenic or manic-depressive and then preoccupation with self to the point of self destruction; unfortunately in this case, three other innocent women. He blamed women for the ugliness he himself had become because he was so self centered.
