Joe, it looks like you will never see my point as I can't see yours. I'm sorry that you can't see the comparison between Social Security and car insurance you pay into Social Security while you are working in hopes you will have an income when you retire. Like you pay to insurance companys so if you have an accident your car will be replaced. I don't see why you can't see the comparison. First if Social Security was Socialism then when I became 65 the government would have started giving me payments untill I passed on I would not have had money taken out of every paycheck for the many years that I worked. Yes I have recieved more in payments than I payed into the fund, but how about the millions of workers that have payed into the fund and never got a penny back because they passed on before age 62. If Social Security is Socialism why is congress concerned about the fund running out of money by year 2017 and there will be more baby boomers collecting than paying in? Unless you never worked a day in your life I am not receving a penny of your tax money. Now here is a question I would like a straight answer from you. When you become 62 will you refuse Social Security and Medicare, if you do will that make you a Socialist/Leninist comrade?
