The trial of a former ROTC instructor accused of sexual misconduct ended this morning in a mistrial.

Kevin Johnson, 51, was facing 49 counts, including statutory sexual assault.

The case began and ended this morning in the Butler County Courthouse when Jackson Township Police Chief Len Keller testified the defendant had declined to take a lie detector test.

Butler County Judge Timothy McCune declared a mistrial because reference to a polygraph is inadmissible in a trial.
