The Armstrong Arrows Bantam AMajor hockey team recently won the 2006 Nutcracker Tournament championship at the Neville Island Sports Complex.

The Arrows defeated the Pittsburgh Predators in an overtime shootout, 4-3. Neil DeCroo, Jordan Ford and Nolan Smouse scored during the shootout and goalie Cody Lee stopped the last Predator shooter to seal the win.

DeCroo scored three goals during the tournament, Cody Bachman, Cam Coccia and Smouse scored two each and Kevin Valaswek added one.

Earlier in the tourney, the Arrows tied the Arctic Foxes 1-1, lost a 6-3 decision to the Predators and defeated the South Hills Panthers, 3-1.

The Arrows won the Rock and Roll Cup in Cleveland earlier this season.
